What was your primary reason for choosing to work with Scott and SeniorLife vs all other available options?

I have told both Scott that I truly don’t know what I would have done if we hadn’t found SeniorLife Solutions. Which gets to the heart of why Scott and his SeniorLife business were a true God-send to our family. To begin with, Scott possesses a unique set of professional skills that make him extremely good at what he does. Scott is a fully licensed realtor. And, perhaps most importantly, he is a very caring human being, who puts his training as a lay pastor into his interactions with clients. Then, as if that wasn’t enough, Scott has extensive business experience and connections with a very talented crew of home remodelers who can quickly move into a property, make needed repairs and improvements that in our case turned a very neglected property (due to my sister-in-law’s failing health) into a fully resurrected “like new” home in only a few weeks.”

Overall, how would you describe your experience of working with Scott and SeniorLife? Please explain:

Scott is a great listener and he began the process with me by learning all about our unique situation. He learned about the history of how my late sister-in-law’s progressive health problems had led to both her death and to some major (and very understandable) neglect of her house. He also asked questions to get a better sense of how I had become the executor of the estate and what my understanding of the different points of view that other family members had about the events leading up to my sister-in-law’s death. And, after he had gathered all that information, he presented me as executor of the estate with a set of several options which I could choose from if I wanted to move forward with Scott and his company. Scott called my choice the “Equity Protection Program” and it was predicated on research he had already done on the property itself - determining what it would take to restore a fairly new house to like new condition that had experienced serious neglect over the past few years and then guaranteeing us a firm purchase price at the end of what turned out to be a 2 month time period in which SeniorLife would clean out the house, make all necessary repairs, replace damaged flooring and carpeting, and paint the entire interior and put up new window treatments. During that time I was responsible for the property taxes and holding costs for the home. And, it all worked out smoothly in the end. Scott even gently guided me through what he believed would be the best way to handle the official closing process — and as had been true for every other step in the process, Scott was spot-on in his advice.

Would you recommend Scott and SeniorLife to a friend who was in a similar situation as yours? Why or why not?

I would ABSOLUTELY recommend SeniorLife Solutions to a friend who was in a similar situation to mine — with NO RESERVATIONS.

I truly don’t think that SeniorLife could have done anything different to make the experience any better for us than he did. I mean it, this guy and his firm, are a gift to the world for people caught in a situation like this.

“Even though, to this day, I have never had the pleasure of meeting Scott in person because as I explained at the beginning, I live 2 1/2 hours away from Indianapolis and all of my interactions with Scott were via phone, video conferencing, email or chat. But, someday if I’m ever over in Indy, I would like to meet this man and take him to lunch so I could thank him in person for all that he did for our family during our time of need. In the meantime, though, these sincere words of thanks will have to do. But, Scott, I do hope to make it over to Indy sometime so I can thank you in person!! You’re the absolute best!!”
