Marketing: Part 3 |
 |
In
the previous months we've looked at the concept of
"Inside-Out Marketing". This concept
stresses taking advantage of the opportunities right
before our eyes. These strategies are powerful. They
are built upon relationships, a key to building trust,
which we know to be vital in the decision-making
process of sales.
Now that we've discussed utilizing the contacts of
our residents and of our staff, let's explore the most
unexplored strategy, that of taking advantage of our
associations with vendors, third party service
agencies, home health agencies, volunteers, and even
entertainers who come to our facilities. Roll out the
red carpet! Give tours and promotional materials to
these people who might otherwise invisibly shuffle in
and out. Introduce them to the managers! Put them on
the newsletter mailing list! Educate them regarding
the many benefits your facility offers residents and
their families! When they leave, they will continue to
speak well of you.
Consider mutual advantageous opportunities doing
cross promotions. Perhaps the company who supplies
your food products might like an ad showing your
dining room with residents who are smiling at their
delicious looking food. The lawn care contractor might
like an ad showing his work, i.e., your beautifully
landscaped grounds and building. Contact your
community's bank and offer to write an article of
interest for their newsletter which goes out to their
senior club membership. Remember, costs can be shared
but it still accomplishes your goal of reaching your
audience.
Remember to consider the options explored in
"inside- out marketing" before you blindly
place that next expensive monthly ad. Put your time
and money where it will do the most good.

Plans |
 |
| Our
experience will guide you through the process. We can
assist in the preparation of your business plan no
matter where you are in the process or the amount of
financing you need. Our services include the research,
the organization, the preparation of materials you may
need, and the writing experience. We bring to this
service years of experience from profit and non-profit
perspectives.
Unfortunately, many studies have shown that a large
percentage of new businesses fail. Of those, more than
half never had any outside guidance. The business plan
must give accurate data as opposed to projecting
someone's dreams. The business plan must convey your
objectives and the steps you plan to take to achieve
them in a way that convinces others that the goals
will succeed. The plan must paint a picture that the
reader can sense to be real and possible.
