  1. Organize an Adopt-a-Grandparent Program with the local schools.

  2. Put together an Antique Car Road Show.
  3. Organize an Art Fair.
  4. Offer your facility as a bingo site for local community group sponsors (with no money exchanged).
  5. Host a Blood Drive and offer blood pressure checks for community members on select days.
  6. Give “Character Awards” to prominent people in your town—commissioners, senators, state representatives, firemen, etc.
  7. Offer the building for a performance of a children’s play.
  8. Have a community fair, sponsor a booth .
  9. Sponsor community service projects with local high schools.
  10. Host a Volunteer Appreciation Banquet.
  11. Provide concerts of all kinds.
  12. Host Craft Fairs.
  13. Become involved in promotions along with banks, bookstores, and supermarkets.
  14. Put on a Dog Pageant to raise money for the local animal shelter.

  2. Make your facility the site for giving   community flu shots.
  3. Do a fund raiser for a charity. Have a health fair.

  4. Communicate with the juvenile court and make your community a service site.
  5. Plan a mass wedding ceremony.
  6. Have a Mental Health Awareness Month Workshop.
  7. Create a poetry contest.
  8. Provide a polling place for elections.
  9. Have a Senior Services Fair.
  10. Make snowmen in July.
  11. Have a Spelling Bee.
  12. Invite area government officials to speak on issues affecting the elderly in a town meeting.
  13. Provide a training site for nurse’s aides.
  14. Adopt your local head start program and help underprivileged children.
  15. Have Veterans Day and Memorial Day ceremonies.
  16. Contact the zoo and have them bring animals to your facility.
